Import

One spreadsheet creates the sources too

We read the entity, site and energy source written in the file and propose them row by row. Sources that do not exist yet are created when you commit.

  • Fix and commit in the same grid as your activity table
  • Every value keeps its original cell (2025!F12)
  • Counts before you commit, undo after
The import screen. Rows read from the file are laid out with entity, site, source, energy source and unit, then usage from January to December, with a mark on the sources that will be created.

What is different

No need to create sources first
No need to create sources first

No need to create sources first

Missing entities, sites and sources are created when you commit. The screen tells you how many before you press it.

Rows that cannot go in say why
Rows that cannot go in say why

Rows that cannot go in say why

No site chosen, no energy source chosen, a unit that source cannot use, a month we could not read, an annual figure. Nothing is skipped quietly.

We do not guess the ambiguous ones

A row that just says “gas” could be city gas or LNG. Picking one for you would calculate quietly with the wrong factor. You choose that row once.

The import grid

Rows read from the file laid out with entity, site, source, energy source, unit and monthly usage. The same grid as the activity table, so what you see here becomes the row.

The activity table

Entity, site and source stay pinned on the left while usage runs January to December on the right. The emissions cell opens the twelve months behind it.
